Surrounded by his family, Clifford L. Desotell, age 81, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 30, 2014, at his residence. Clifford was born in Menominee, MI, March 24, 1933 son of the late Clifford and Beatrice (Tebo) Desotell.

He attended Menominee High School. Clifford served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Romulus. On July 20, 1962 at St Matthew’s Church he was united in marriage to Arletta M. Smith. Cliff was employed at Ladish Drop Forge of Cudahy, WI for 35 years, retiring in 1991. His interests included camping, remodeling his home, caring for his yard, and rooting for his favorite Wisconsin sports teams. However, more than anything it was time spent with his family that he treasured the most. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his loving wife of 51 years, Lettie; his children, Edward C. (Debbie) Desotell of Racine, WI, Beatrice Desotell of Green Bay, WI; grandchildren, Samatha Schmunck, Dane Lagrew, and Eddie Desotell; brother Donald Desotell of Menominee, MI; sisters, Joyce (Jerry) Krakau of Wausau, WI; Mary (Frank) Lozier of Howard, WI; sisters-in-law, Theresa Desotell, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bill, Ronald, and Richard.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday, September 4, 2014, 11:00 a.m. Chaplain Charlie Hansen will be officiating. Full military honors will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home until the time of service.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the medical staff that cared for Cliff during his final months. Thank you for your loving and compassionate care.
