Surrounded by her loving family, Roseann J. Biesack, age 87, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at her residence. Roseann was born in Libertyville, IL, February 24, 1927, daughter of the late Joseph and Lucille (Nee: Salvano) Cicero.

On September 11, 1948 she was united in marriage to Marvin L. Biesack who preceded her in death, July 21, 1986. Roseann was employed by Lincoln Lutheran Home for twenty-five years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and Vittoria Colonna. Roseann enjoyed playing cards and socializing with friends at Roma Lodge. Roseann devoted her life to her family and loved family gatherings. She will be deeply missed.

Roseann loved being a mom to her six children. While being very active in raising her children, she had a very successful work life. She was a PTA President, sewed most of her children’s clothing as well as sewing for JC Penney Fabric Department. She and her husband built many homes in Racine, spending nights painting and staining as well as designing and building their own homes.

She was an active member of the women of Vittoria Colonna, played and won many bocce tournaments, baked for the festival, and helped to put together the cookbook. She was an avid card player, board game player and reader.

She will be missed by her children, Janice (David) Riutta, Patrice (David) Kawlewski, Roxann (Paul) Kranstover, Kevin (Beth) Biesack, Linda (John) Williams, Todd (Christina) Biesack; grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Riutta, Marc (Ravin) Riutta, Senja (David) Underwood, Christina Kawlewski, Cynthia Kawlewski, Tiffany (Matt) Angotti-Becker, Noél (Eric) Angotti-Brue, Megan Angotti, Anthony (Tabatha) Angotti, Ryan (Jenny) Biesack, Keith (KJ Holmes) Biesack, Mark (Danielle Strebel) Biesack, Leah Biesack, Angel Biesack, Steven (Kristina Bergeron) Schryba, John (Kate) Baratki, Adam Baratki; great-grandchildren, Jack and Olivia Riutta, Gracie, Samuel, and Augustus Underwood, Gregory Angotti, Jeremy Carbanell, Jayden and Emilina Angotti, Sylvie and Kyran Biesack, Lily Biesack, Caleb Biesack, Samuel Schryba, Kinsley Schryba, Brooklyn Baratki, Brennan and Ella Baratki; brother, Donald (Rosemary) Cicero; special friend, Eugene Silvani; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Phillip; sister, Joyce Cicero; granddaughters, Rebecca Kawlewski, Melissa and Tera Angotti.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 31, 2014, 12:00 P.M. (Vittoria Colona Service at 11:45 A.M.) at the funeral home with Deacon Russell Missureli officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 12:00 P.M. Private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Memorials to Vittoria Colonna Scholarship Fund have been suggested.
