George Juergens

George L. Juergens, 79, of Bradley, Il. formerly of Cabery, Il. passed away on Aug. 26, 2014 at Miller Health Care Center. He was born on Dec. 15, 1934 the son of the late Herman and Gussie Zeedyk Juergens. George married Marilyn Rainbolt on July 25, 1957 in Herscher, Il. and she survives.

For 49 and a half years, George was employed by the Gould Battery Company in Kankakee in the chemical lab. George served his country in the U. S. Army. He was a collector of automotive license plates and was an Illinois sports fan.

His family includes, two daughters and sons in law; Judy and Mark Truesdell of Bradley, Il., Linda and Mike Hamlyn of Louisville, KY., five grandchildren; Ashley Tabisz, Brandi and Ashley Royston, Nina Canon, Nicholas Truesdell, Ashley Truesdell and Nine great grandchildren. one sister and brother in law; Marilyn and Dave Perzee of Gilman, Il. George’s mother in law, Ruby Rainbolt of Bradley, Il., sister in law Marie Frederiksen of Aurora, Il., brother in law; David Rainbolt of Kankakee, Il. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister in law; Donald and Nancy Juergens, brother in law, Dean Frederiksen, father in law, Cecil Rainbolt.

George requested that there be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation rites were provided by the Schreffler Life Story Funeral Home Kankakee Chapel. A private burial will be held.
