Gregory Herron

Gregory Herron passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2014 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1960 in Chicago, IL the son of Robert and Murry (McEwen) Herron, Sr. He was employed as a home heath caregiver and he was a member of the New Life Fellowship COGIC. Greg enjoyed camping, gardening, cooking out, reading, spending time with his family and was an avid Chicago sports fan. On August 19, 2006 in Kalamazoo he was united in marriage to the former Sharon Bowman, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Jacob (Lori) Ringel of Portage; two daughters, Rebekah Ringel of Kalamazoo, Jennifer (Matthew) Gearhart of Ft. Wayne; three brothers, Louis (Bessie) Herron of Riverdale, IL, Lawrence Herron of Kalamazoo, Robert (Catherine) Herron, Jr. of Hattiesburg, MS; three sisters, Adrienne Herron of Riverdale, IL, Cynthia (Kenneth) Love of Chicago, IL, Dionne (William) Dotson of Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; family and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Paul and a sister Barbara Jean Herron. Friends will be received Saturday August 30, 2014 from 11am to noon, at New Life Fellowship Church, 1912 Birch St. Kalamazoo, MI 49004, where services will be held at Noon.
