She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lucy Bouwman, and ten brothers and sisters: Foster Bouwman, Donald Bouwman, Edwin Bouwman, Lawrence Bouwman, Willis Bouwman, John (Ruth) Bussies, Nelson (Geneva) Boeve, Henry (Audrey) Menken, Stanly (Dorothy) Rutgers, and Shirly Bouwman.
She survived by her two sons: Kim and Diane Slayer and daughter Lindsay Slayer, and Jeff and Bett Slayer and daughter Katie Slayer.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Community Church of Douglas; 6780 Wiley Road, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 pm.
Donations may be made in Milly’s memory to Hospice of Holland or Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
