Passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Melvin was born September 21, 1948 in Kalamazoo, the son of Ivan and Donna (DeYoung) McCue. He was employed by Parker Hannifin in Kalamazoo; he was a Life-Member of the Comstock VFW Post and the IEEE. On May 2, 1970 in Kalamazoo he was united in marriage to the former Cecilia Bruex, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Brian McCue of Parchment; daughter, Christine (Todd) Payne of Delton; grandson, Henry Payne of Delton; step-granddaughter, Shelby Payne of Delton; mother, Donna Vance of Kalamazoo; two sisters, Linda (Terry) Smith of Kalamazoo, Tammy (Lou) Whitlach of Jenison. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry McCue in 2013. Friends are being received Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East "G" Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49004, (269) 349-7735, where services will be held Monday at 10 AM.
