Mary E. Doebereiner, nee: Theisen, age 91, passed away July 30, 2014 at Elizabeth Residence. Mary was born in Racine September 22, 1922, daughter of the late Raymond and Stella (Jacobson) Theisen.

Mary was a graduate of St. Catherine High School “Class of 1940”. After high school Mary was employed as an office secretary at Milwaukee Cheese Company, Racine. On November 4, 1944 she was united in marriage to Donald C. Doebereiner at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Racine. Mary was a homemaker, former volunteer at Holy Name School, Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den mother. Mary was a social person who enjoyed traveling and playing cards. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her six children, Donald (Sandra) of Kenosha, Terry (Barbara) of Union Grove, Mark (Jean) of Brookfield, Judith (Allan) Tripp of Racine, Susan (Michael) Noland of Overland Park, Kansas and Paul of Racine; 13 grandchildren, Scott , Steven (Heather) , Mike (Jaime) , Jenni (Scott) Kirn, Katie (Todd) Witek, Brian , Karen (Erik) Eidem, Kevin (Sarah) Tripp, Denise (John) Szymczak, Danielle Noland, Kristen (Austin) Katzer, Stacey (Brian) Johnson, David Noland; 17 great-grandchildren: Alexia, Conner, Ethan, Ashley, Meghan, Ryan, Andrew, Maddie, Abbie, Alex, Karl, Ally, Jacob, Josh, Holly, Cory and Amanda, brother Raymond Theisen of Racine, sister-in-law Elaine Doebereiner of Mountain Home, AK; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mary was preceded in death by her dear husband Donald on May 10, 2011 and her brother Joseph Theisen in 1982.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday August 4, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s by the Lake Catholic Church, 7605 Lakeshore Drive, with Rev. Stephen J. Stradinger officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Memorials to St. Mary’s by the Lake Catholic Church, Elizabeth Residence, 5737 Erie St, Racine 53402 or Seasons Hospice, 6737 W. Washington St, Suite 2150, West Allis, WI 53214 have been suggested.
