Myra Kruithof

Myra Deane Kruithof age 87 of Zeeland died Tuesday July 22, 2014 at Rest Haven Care Center in Holland.

Born in Holland, Myra attended Holland Public Schools and graduated from Holland High School. She attended Pillar Church until she married Dale Kruithof in 1955 when they both joined Calvary Reformed Church.

Myra was very active in both churches teaching Sunday School and singing in choir. She was also active in Women’s Groups including Dorcas Circle at Calvary. When her husband served on the board of Youth for Christ she served as a volunteer. She loved to gather her family including the grandchildren, and great grandchildren for special celebrations and parties.

Myra enjoyed sending cards to those who were sick and meals to those in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, sister and brother-in-law.

Surviving besides her husband are children; Bob and Mary Kruithof of Holland, Lori and Scott Johnson of Zeeland, 6 grandchilden, 11 great grandchildren, sister-in-laws, Marion Wiersma, Doris Wiersma and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 AM at Calvary Reformed Church 995 East E 8th.St. with Rev. Blaine Newhouse and Rev. Ron Beyer officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Friends may call on the family Thursday 6:00 -8:00 at the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas.

Memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of Holland or Calvary Ref. Church Youth Fund.
