Rev. Jose Lopez of Pullman went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 20, 2014. Jose was surrounded by his family as they sang old Christian Apostolic songs. Jose is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Maria De Jesus and their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Included in his family are children; Yolanda and Frank, Jessey and Nestora (deceased), John and Mary as well as Shelly. Grandchildren, Daniela and Damian, Michael and Jennifer, Marybeth, Amanda and Moses and Brenda and Jeremy. Great grandchildren; Tyler, Ellery and Maryn, whose parents are Michael and Jennifer, Delaney, Mason, Malachi and Delilah whose parents are Amanda and Moses, Maven and Araya, whose parents are Brenda and Jeremy.

Jose is also survived by his brothers and sisters; Maciel and Aida Lopez, Angelica and Mago (deceased) Valdez, Rev. Salomon and Mina Lopez, Licha Lopez, Rev. Carlos and Delia Lopez, Lupe Lopez, Minerva and Rev. Jaime Guerrero, Amparo and Jaime Torres as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Jose’s first love was Christ. He always felt privileged to be an ordained minister spreading and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jose loved to talk about Jesus to anyone who would listen. His faith and love of God have always been an example to his family. Jose’s love for his family was immense and he would always hug, kiss and say “ I love you” to each of them every time he saw them. Jose had a love only God could give and today he rests in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 7:00PM at Fennville Spanish Apostolic Church, Landsburg Rd and 56th St. with Rev.s Carlos Lopez and Jaime Guerrero officiating. Visitation will be held Wed. 6:00PM to 7:00PM prior to the service. Visitation will also be Thursday 11:00AM - 12:00 noon at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 188 West 32nd. with burial following in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
