Mildred Mary “Millie” Kyrouac, 91, of Bourbonnais IL passed away July 17, 2014. She was born June 11, 1923 in Bradley IL to William and Lillian (Boudreau) Dayhoff. She was married to Kenneth F. Kyrouac on July 25, 1942 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bradley IL. Mildred was a homemaker and lived in the Kankakee area her entire life. She also was a long time member of Maternity Catholic Church (B.V.M.) in Bourbonnais IL.

Mildred was a beautiful, caring mother who built a loving home. She also worked for a time at Maternity B.V.M. grade school minding the children during recess where the children lovingly knew her as Granny.

Mildred is survived by four sons, Kenneth and Christine of Bourbonnais, Roger and Joanne of Carlock IL, Rob and Deborah of Schertz, TX, and Mark of Bourbonnais. She is also survived by two daughters June of Bourbonnais and Luann (Richard) Irwin also of Bourbonnais, as well as 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, seven brothers, Curtis, Harry, George, Joseph, Bill, Raymond, and Leo and two sisters, Marie and Goldie.

A gathering for family and friends will be Wednesday, July 23, 2014, from 4-7 p.m. at Schreffler Life Story Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. A Chapel service will take place at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at 10 a.m.
