He graduated from Scarsdale (NY) High School; received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Bridgeport (CT) and had lived in the Kalamazoo area since 2009. After retirement to Kansas, he remained busy volunteering time to Trinity Presbyterian Church, Habitat for Humanity and the Topeka Rescue Mission. After his move to MI, he attended Gracespring Church. He was a Jazz Music aficionado, loved to dance, loved the ocean and enjoyed playing a round of golf with friends, but his true passion in life was his family, especially his grandkids. In his later years, he enjoyed quiet afternoons with family, watching birds and nature around him. Bill was united in marriage to the former Margaret Darlene Henderson on June 5, 1948 in Scarsdale, NY and she preceded him in death on January 19, 2002. Surviving are two daughters, Sandra D. (Gary VanDeWeert) Wiederhold MD of Richland and Patricia W. "Tricia" (Vince King) Hasbrouck of Nashville, TN; his son, William Lawrence Wiederhold of Springfield, MA; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bill was also preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Justin Wiederhold and his sister, Peggy Thiebauth.
