BERNARD, KIMBERLY Kimberly McQueen Bernard, 46, of East Grand Rapids, joined our heavenly father on Tuesday, July 15, after an inspiring and courageous battle with cancer. Kim was the beloved wife of Robert for 12 wonderful years; loving mother of Kassidy, Dakota, Aria and Brogan; beloved daughter of Wilson and Nancy McQueen. Kim is also survived by her siblings, David McQueen and Jennifer (Don) Patten; grandmother, Hazel McQueen and many loving extended family and friends. Kim was a graduate of Rockford High School and Michigan State University. Kim was a longtime and committed employee of Wolverine World Wide. Kim was a loving, selfless, and incredibly kind-hearted mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend, and her radiant smile will stay with us forever. Much of Kim's time was spent as an avid supporter of her children and all things East Grand Rapids, and she was especially fond of the girls Cross Country, We The People, and girls LaCrosse programs. Beyond her faith, family and friends, her greatest joy came from time spent plying the waters of Northern Michigan and beyond with those she loved. Kim had a deep faith and was an active member of Central Reformed Church in Grand Rapids and Christ Episcopal Church in Charlevoix. Kim was universally loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, July 20, from 4-8 PM at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A memorial service honoring Kim's life will be held on Monday, July 21, at 11 AM at Central Reformed Church, 10 College Avenue NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the East Grand Rapids Schools Foundation or The American Cancer Society . The family is being served by:
