Linda Huntington

Linda Huntington of Portage was preceded in death by her parents, James Loosier and Mildred A. (Smith) Loosier, as well as her two brothers, Micheal E. Loosier and Jarry L. Loosier. She is survived by David M. Huntington (Husband), David Huntington (Son), Scherry A. Loosier (Sister), James A. (Jamice) Loosier, Joseph E. (Sara) Loosier, her brothers and several in-laws as well as many nieces and nephews. Linda is also survived by a very special young lady, Alyssa, whom she loved dearly. Also left behind is a generation of young adults who grew up running in and out of her house where they were always welcome and still call her mom. The next generation was already getting to know Linda, especially Noah and Eva. Linda was always busy crafting, gardening, visiting family, friends, and neighbors. Many of these friends Linda met at Leidy Lake Campground where she and her husband were campers for over 35 years. Linda was the kind of friend and family member who always had an ear for listening. For someone with such a small stature, she had a bigger Heart than all of us. She will always be Loved and Missed so very much. In lieu of flowers, our family requests donations to be made in Linda's honor to Kairos Dwelling for the special care they took of Linda, 2945 Gull Rd. Kalamazoo MI, 49048. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 19th 2014, at 1pm at Loosier's Landing on the St. Joe River; 415 Cass St., Mendon, MI. Per the request of the family, PLEASE NO alcoholic beverages.
