Harold Adama, age 83, of West Olive, died Sunday, August 19, 2007 at the Holland Hospital. He was a member of the Pine Creek Christian Reformed Church and retired from Consumers Power. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army and also a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Navy. He was preceded in death by a brother, Marinus Adama and sister, Helen Streelman. He is survived by his wife, Mary and children, Timothy and Jeanne Adama of Tucson, AZ, Karen and Lud Scholten of Holland, Nancy and Bruce Mosier of Rockford; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; brothers, George and Bonnie Adama of Redlands, CA, Richard Adama of Newaygo; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Gloria De Witte of Grandville; many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was a loving husband and father, everyone's friend and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2007 at South Olive Christian Reformed Church, 6425 120th Avenue in Holland. Reverend Jeffrey Voorhees will be officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at South Olive Christian Reformed Church and also on Thursday from 10 to 10:50 a.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Christian Services. Arrangements are by Lakeshore Memorial Services.
