Arlan Bauer

Arlan J. Bauer, aged 82, passed away May 11, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha L. Bauer. Surviving are his three children, Carol L. Bauer of Grand Rapids, David A. Bauer and John C. Bauer both of Rockford; his sisters, Roberta Lopez of CA and Donna Naden of Kalamazoo. Arlan was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Bauer. His memberships included the Cadillac & LaSalle Club, the Variety Club and he was past president of the Schubert Club. Arlan served in the Army during World War II, and was stationed in the Philippines. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 in the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Chapel, with Dr. Gerald Pohly officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
