Gloria Brigstock

Gloria I. Brigstock, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 23, 2008 at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Brigstock, son, Robert H. Brigstock and sister, Nan DeBoer. Gloria was a beloved mother to Vicki Cartwright, Kim (Don) Phillips, Brad (Michelle) Brigstock, Mary Pant (Robert Chachulski), Patti (Larry) Humphrey, and Nicole Brigstock. She was a dear mother-in-law to Joy Brigstock and sister to Shirley (Peter) Rienstra, Gary (Marge) Town and sister-in-law to Jim DeBoer. She was "Me-Ma", "Grammy", "Grams", "G-ma" and her favorite nickname, "Grandma with the big nose" to nineteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Gloria worked for several years as a nurse technician at Grand Valley Nursing Home, Brookcrest Nursing Home and was a telephone operator at Meijer Credit Union. She was a member of FairHaven Ministries for many years. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Wyoming), 4031 Clyde Park SW with Rev. David Breen officiating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will meet relatives and friends Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, her family wishes memorial contributions be made to Faith Hospice and would especially like to thank Lisa Przybysz for her care and dedication to our mother during this difficult time.
