Age 92, late of Bradley, IL, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 19, 2012. Marcella was born on March 26, 1919 to Edward and Edith (Malmborg) Wright (both deceased) of Bradley, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Vickery, and son James Vickery.

She is survived by her son Harold “Hal” Vickery, grandson Jeffrey Vickery, and granddaughter-in-law Stephanie (Kuzminski) Vickery all of Joliet, IL. Also surviving are her older sister Muriel (Wright) White of Elizabethtown, KY, younger brother Glenn Wright and sister-in-law Norma (Ortman) Wright of Colorado Springs, CO, two nieces and two nephews.

Marcella graduated from Bradley High School in 1936, one of thirteen in her class. It was there that she met her husband Robert, later married and celebrated fifty-five years of marriage. As a stay-at-home mother, she cared very much for her family. An excellent cook, she enjoyed baking and preparing meals for her family and friends. A very independent woman until only a month before her passing, she will be remembered for her quick-wit and loving personality.

A memorial Mass will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Center Ave., Bradley, IL 60915 at 10:00am on Saturday, January 28, 2012. She will be interred privately at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Kankakee, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley, 482 Main St. NW, Bourbonnais, IL, 60914 (815-939-4141).
