Irene Johnson

Our dear mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Irene Johnson, was called home by our Lord on September 3, 2008 at Heartwood Lodge, Spring Lake, MI. Irene, whose parents were Henry and Reka DeBoer, was born December 1, 1916. She lived in Holland most of her life and attended Holland Schools. Irene married Vernon (Dutch) Johnson October 22, 1935. He preceded her in death in May of 1982. She was a member of Hope Reformed Church and Circle Two. Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Sandra (Tom) Klomparens, Cody, WY, and Mrs. Melanie (Henry) Riekels, Grand Haven, MI; grandchildren, Steve Klomparens, Tina Allnutt, Nora (Michael) Fitts, Cindy (Pete) Guzman; step grandchildren, Heather (Bob) Oxley, H.T.Riekels; and seven great grandchildren. Irene’s wishes were for cremation and private graveside services to be held September 12, 2008. Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Ottawa or to Hope Reformed Church.
