Obituary
William T. "Bill" Young, age 84, of Evart, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2008, surrounded by his family. Bill was born on April 30, 1923 in Washington D.C. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Corinne (Gale); children, Dick (Karen) Young of Lowell, Pam (David) Yang of Prescott Valley, AZ, Bill (Fern) of Kentwood; grandchildren, Nancy, John, Kari, Kellie, Stephanie, Tori, Joe, Sarah; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Brandon, Brooke, Olivia and Mayzee; brothers, Thomas (Helen), Charles "Pete" (Barb); sister, Nell (Warren) Mauck. Bill served our country in World War II as a Torpedoman 2-C for the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. Bill worked for Evart Products for 27 years and was retired for 27 years. Memorial Services for Bill will be held Thursday, May 1st at 1 p.m. at the Evart United Methodist Church, 519 N. Cherry Street, Evart, Michigan. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, April 30th 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, May 1st one hour prior to the memorial service at the church. In accordance with his wishes, he has been cremated. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a contribution to the Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation or the charity of one's choice.
